Trueline Contractors is looking for an experienced equipment operator to join our team and be part of our road crew in Cache Valley. Job Description:

Must have at least 1 year operating experience/seat time. Must be able to operate various types of heavy equipment, including but not limited to, Backhoe, Roller, Loader, Excavator, Grader, Dozer, Water Truck, Dump Truck.

Operator will answer to a Crew Foreman and receive instructions for the day. Operator will be expected to work well with others and be part of a team environment. Communication skills are vital.

Expected to read and understand grade stakes and associated staking involved in the construction of horizontal utility installation.

Expected to be familiar with GPS, lasers and other field equipment that is common on the construction site.

Expected to be able to perform pre trip and post trip inspections of assigned equipment. Must have communication skills to pass on issues with said equipment to company mechanic. Basic heavy equipment repair skills are advantageous.

Expected to safely operate equipment in a productive manner and in a way that is industry accepted and NOT abuse the equipment.

Please note that this job description is not exhaustive. Applicants must be willing to help on other manual labor tasks as needed on the job.

Equipment Operator Certifications are desirable but not required.

Must be safety minded and willing to participate in weekly safety meetings.

Must have current drivers license and reliable transportation to and from work sites.

Be able to lift 60 lbs. on a regular basis. Work in adverse weather conditions including but not limited to rain, sleet, snow, cold and heat.

Work a minimum of 40 hrs. per week.

Will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and participate in a random drug screening program. Will be required to pass a background check.
