This entry-level, part-time (maximum of 29 hours per week) Sample Coordination Specialist position is a key member of QPS’ Bioanalytical team, ensuring that client samples and other controlled materials are received, stored, distributed, tracked and returned safely, securely, confidentially and without loss or damage. This role requires comfort with computer systems and databases, and requires independence, attention to detail, organization, and juggling multiple tasks.

There is some flexibility in determining the actual shift, provided it is within a Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm timeframe. There is the possibility of working weekends/evenings once fully trained if desired.

The Job

  • Receive and process study samples, including:
    • Completing inventory, documenting discrepancies, and communicating with internal and external clients as appropriate.
    • Reviewing study protocols or associated documentation to ensure compliance in such areas as storage, communication, etc.
    • Using database for sample entry, tracking, and reconciliation.
    • Sample pulling for analytical runs, boxing samples after analysis, and sample tracking.
    • Notifying appropriate client and QPS personnel of sample receipt.
    • Maintaining sample receipt, shipment and storage documentation, and other materials of regulatory interest.
    • Addressing appropriate QC/QA audit findings.
  • Work with Sample Administration Supervisor regarding sample storage, return, and disposal as well as other related sample management functions.
  • May transport samples between QPS sites.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Work in cold conditions as position will be at least partially based within freezer farm

Work Location

  • This job will be 100% QPS-office/facility based

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, with 2-4 years related work experience
  • Bachelor’s in related discipline with 0-2 years relevant experience would be ideal
  • Experience in a FDA Regulated industry preferred
