Emergency Department RN Case Manager

We are actively searching for a RN Case Manager. This position assumes case management accountability for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients at Atlantic General Hospital; coordinates payor authorization processes; supports the physician in the provision of patient care; facilitates the collaborative management of patient care along the continuum within the interdisciplinary team to promote quality patient care, efficient utilization of resources and appropriate reimbursement of care and services; applies process improvement methodologies in evaluating outcomes of care.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a current MD State RN license, American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR Certification required. BSN strongly preferred. Five years’ experience in hospital and/or alternate care setting with demonstrated clinical competence. Third-party payor requirements preferred with knowledge of nationally recognized admission, continued stay and discharge criteria. Knowledge of community resources and treatment providers is desirable. Must be comfortable utilizing office equipment including computer, fax, printer and copier.
