Noah's Ark Veterinary Resort is a privately owned small animal veterinary hospital in Millersville, MD. We are collaborative, supportive, and professional. We are seeking a compassionate Veterinarian to join the team at our positivity-focused clinic. You will primarily diagnose and treat dogs and cats; however, we also provide care for smaller animals at the doctor's discretion/comfort. Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday (some Saturdays may be required)
Pay types:
- Salary
- Base Salary + Commission pay
Responsibilities
- Provide routine examinations
- Diagnose illnesses and recommend treatment
- Perform surgeries including dental, ophthalmic, and orthopedic
- Administer vaccinations
- Perform spay and neuter surgeries
- Prescribe medication
- Advise pet owners on preventative healthcare, nutrition, and overall pet well-being
- Update client records
Qualifications
- Previous work experience as a veterinarian
- Knowledge of medical equipment and anesthesia procedures (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical concepts in simple terms
- Problem-solving skills
- Patience and a love for animals (and people too!)
Education:
- Doctorate (Required)
License/Certification:
- Maryland Veterinary License
Work Location: In person
