Job Description
We are looking for Stone Fruit Quality Control Inspectors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Following the company's inspection procedures, Inspect incoming and packed fruit to ensure it meets U.S.D.A. and Family Tree Farm’s high-quality standards.
- Thoroughly document inspection results using the company’s system.
- Communicate fruit quality to the manager and the production team.
- Take brix samples of each lot using a refractometer.
- Check the fruit pressure of all lots with a penetrometer.
- Conduct weight and size verification inspections.
- Maintain work area and tools clean.
- Previous experience in quality control is preferred.
- Motivated with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Ability to use computers, software applications, databases, and automated systems to accomplish work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented and thorough.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with others in a team environment.
- Ability to identify and differentiate small numbers and letters on fruit packaging material and software.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift 10 to 32 lb. cartons to verify net weights.

Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, overtime, double-time, and holidays throughout the duration of our pack season (May to October); this is critical to support the needs of the business and is subject to change.
