Job Summary:
The Dietary Aide at Mountain Ridge Health & Rehab in Black Mountain, North Carolina is a vital member of our healthcare team. This individual is responsible for providing support to our dietary department in order to ensure the delivery of high-quality meals to our residents. As a full-time individual contributor, the Dietary Aide will work alongside our team to ensure the dietary needs of our residents are met and to provide exceptional customer service.

Compensation & Benefits:
This is an hourly position with a compensation range of $11.50 to $14 per hour, paid semi-monthly. In addition to competitive pay, our employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings plans.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting with meal preparation and plating, following dietary and nutritional guidelines
- Setting up and cleaning dining areas before and after meal times
- Ensuring proper food storage and handling procedures are followed
- Taking meal orders and delivering meals to residents within designated time frames
- Assisting with stocking and inventory of food and supplies
- Following proper sanitation and safety guidelines
- Providing exceptional customer service to residents, answering questions and addressing concerns
- Communicating with kitchen staff and dietary manager regarding any special dietary needs or restrictions
- Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a dietary or food service role preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Excellent customer service skills
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
