Job Summary: As a Billing Liaison at Orthopaedic Associates, P.A. in Panama City, Florida, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes for our patients' healthcare services. This is a full time, hourly position in the healthcare/medical industry and is an individual contributor role. You will work closely with our billing team and other departments to resolve any billing issues, provide outstanding customer service, and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • - Collect & reconcile daily batches & post all money.
  • - Conduct regular audits to ensure billing accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
  • - Stay up to date with changes in insurance policies, coding, and billing regulations.
  • - Resolve billing inquiries and disputes from patients and other parties in a timely and professional manner.
  • - Collaborate with other departments, such as front desk, physicians, mid-level providers & clinical staff, to ensure seamless billing processes.
  • - Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations.
  • - Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
  • -Assist billing company with any information needed.
  • -Work with attorney's & Vocational Rehabilitation.


Requirements:

  • - High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • - Minimum of 2 years of previous billing experience in a medical/healthcare setting.
  • - Knowledge of insurance plans, medical terminology, CPT and ICD-10 coding, and billing regulations.
  • - Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • - Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic billing systems.
  • - Experience with Allscripts PM & EHR & Exscribe EHR.
