- Install, set up, and calibrate lasers and other survey equipment.
- Shovel, rake, transfer, grade materials such as dirt and stone.
- Drive, mark, remove or replace grade stakes.
- Measure and mark grades using rulers, levels, strings, or lasers.
- Secure utility devices using straps, ropes or chains.
- Utilize saws, torches and cutting devices.
- Apply cement, glue and other adhesives.
- Operate tampers, rollers or other compaction devices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of tools, materials, methods and techniques for pipe laying.
- Ability to interpret plans and stakes.
- Communication skills, ability to comprehend instruction.
- Competent Person Training.
