Job Description: Work Department Lead

Position Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Work Department Lead to oversee our workwear department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. As the Work Department Lead, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the department, leading a team of associates, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and supervise a team of sales associates in the workwear department to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  2. Manage inventory levels, including stock replenishment, merchandising, and visual displays, to optimize sales and meet customer demand.
  3. Develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth and increase department profitability.
  4. Train and coach team members on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service standards.
  5. Monitor and analyze sales performance, KPIs, and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and take proactive measures.
  6. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards, including proper handling of merchandise and adherence to security protocols.
  7. Collaborate with store management and other department leads to achieve overall store objectives and initiatives.
  8. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting teamwork, communication, and recognition among team members.
  9. Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and escalations in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in retail management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of retail experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably in a workwear or similar department.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets, driving business results, and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Knowledge of workwear products, brands, and industry trends.
  • Proficiency in retail management systems and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
