Assembly Leadman

POSITION SUMMARY

This position requires a proactive capable individual capable of leading a team, ensuring quality, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform the job successfully, the individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties, assignments, and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of management.  

·         Utilize the Module list to generate drawings and allocate work assignments for all team members daily.

·         Provide detailed instructions and clarification on assembly drawings as necessary for the team.

·         Offer guidance and supervision to ensure the team comprehensively understands assembly processes.

·         Conduct thorough quality checks upon the completion of each project to ensure adherence to standards.

·         Complete daily Time Sheets, including accurate recording of hours, job numbers, and relevant details.

·         Maintain effective communication with the Fabrication and Paint Departments regarding parts required per schedule.

·         Verify the correctness of identification Tags before shipping.

·         Ensure all team members remain productive and on track with their assigned tasks.

·         Enforce safety rules consistently to maintain a secure working environment.

·         Document any employee problems or concerns and communicate them to the Assembly Foreman.

·         Supervise and instruct assemblers, ensuring they are engaged in their assigned tasks.

·         Train new employees and provide instruction on all tasks required for each project.

·         Instruct and oversee employees on safety protocols, conducting weekly meetings for safety discussions. 

·         Regularly check and enforce safety measures during project execution.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

·         High school diploma or GED

·         3-5 years of on-the-job experience.

·         Strong communication skills.

·         Proficient in reading a Tape Measure.

·         Familiarity with reading mechanical drawings.

·         Basic computer navigation and utilization skills preferred.

·         Knowledge of assembling motors, sprockets, bearings, chains, fasteners, etc.

·         High attention to detail and self-motivation skills.

·         Work in a team environment and respect all teammates.
