Columbia Vehicle Group / Tomberlin is seeking a highly motivated and outgoing individual to join our growing Accounting Department in the role of AR/AP Clerk. AR/AP Clerk reports to the Controller and is responsible for day to day operations of the Accounting Department.

Job Responsibilities

  • Managing of Accounts Receivable, Account Aging and Collections
  • Applying of collected payments, updating cash tracking and merchant reports
  • Changing and correcting orders 
  • Invoicing Unit orders and billing appropriately
  • Coding and entering of weekly accounts payable package
  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Gather and publish various requested reports
  • Scanning and Filing needed documents
  • Managing vendor accounts 
  • Ordering Supplies
  • Checking, Processing Mail and making deposits
  • Supporting HR Coordination
  • Supporting Employee Moral by helping planning events, communications, birthday cards etc.
  • Other Duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisor

Skill Requirements

  • Typing 40+ words per minute
  • MUST be proficient in Microsoft office, Excel, Word.
  • Knows how to use a multi-line phone system.
  • Ability to cross train to assist other departments as necessary.
  • Need to be customer service driven, enthusiastic, and have an attention for details and be very organized.
  • Business etiquette and professionalism.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous work experience in accounting or bookkeeping is required (1+ years).

Time Requirements

  • Full Time
  • Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM
  • Must have flexible schedule.

Compensation

  • $17 - $22 an hour, based on experience
  • Performance-based incentive compensation plan
