Job Description

Provide support for all vehicle and equipment claims processing. Responsible for verifying information, contacting Fleet Management company, and validating proper information for the primary insurance company, and maintaining complete documentation and correspondence. Manage accident training program and suggest appropriate corrective training according to the IPS- (Internal Points System). Bill out necessary charges to jobsite. Provide backup support to the division as needed.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

• Communicate with a responsible party on all accidents for documents and information.

• Compose correspondence and process required forms and notifications for accidents.

• Determine policy coverage, validate, and document all information regarding accidents.

• Review claim submissions and verify information.

• Maintain confidential documents regarding accidents, MVRs, driver’s license, and insurance information.

• Maintain an ongoing schedule of repair and subrogation.

• Schedule, coordinate and confirm repairs, rentals, etc.

• Maintain current policy documents.

• Monitor, evaluate, and provide repair estimate packages for approval.

• Set up and administer weekly status meeting of all claims in process.

• Record and maintain all accident information in a database system.

• Provide necessary and requested reports.

• Copy, scan, collate, file, and otherwise assemble and store various materials for immediate or future use.

• Resolve bills, invoices, and purchase orders.

• Process claims payments as requested.

• Communicating with agents, employees, and repair service centers.

• Perform additional division support assignments at manager’s request.

• Maintain receipts and code all purchasing card entries.

• Maintain deadlines.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma

• Minimum of two years as a claim’s processor or in a related role.

• Working knowledge of the insurance industry.

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Ability to work under pressure.

• High attention to details

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES:

• Working knowledge of business procedures, letter/report formats, general bookkeeping, or math.

• Strong knowledge of email, word processing, and spreadsheet programs is required.

• Strong computer skills.

• Strong business communicator.

• Requires ability to always maintain confidentiality of work items.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed primarily indoors.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Manual dexterity and sitting for extended periods.

• Frequent standing and walking.

• Occasional climbing stairs, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and crouching.

• Visual acuity to read printed and electronic documents.

• Lifting and / or exerting of force up to 20 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds of lifting / force frequently.
