G-Code M-Code CNC Machining Engineer - Enterprise, AL Develop, qualify, and operate automated CNC machine tools to fabricate metal piece parts of various sizes and shapes. *** Plan machining by evaluating blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, and machining parameters and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). *** Create complex programs for machining multiple shapes in the same lathe or mill using MasterCam and G Code. *** Program mills and lathes by calculating requirements; entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; and proving part programs. *** Install and adjust three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, etc. to set up mills and lathes. *** Verify settings and ensure sample workpieces adhere to international standards specified by the automation team. *** Maintain specifications by monitoring drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; and sharpening and replacing worn tools. *** Complete preventive maintenance requirements following manufacturer instructions, troubleshoot malfunctions, and call for repairs when needed. *** Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. *** Develop, evaluate, and improve production manufacturing methods to achieve operational success.
