Well-known and reputable outpatient physician Primary Care / GI group practice located in Long Island, NY is currently looking for several experienced Medical Assistants. These are Full Time, Temp-to-Hire opportunities starting immediately. Pay rate is commensurate with experience.
Must be available to work in 2 out of the 3 locations listed below;
Jericho, NY
Lake Sucess, NY
Mineola, NY
Responsibilities and Duties:
The Medical Assistant will be required to assist the doctors in the back office with referrals, phone calls and assisting with vitals, pulling patient information and charting. Must be proficient in patient vitals, blood draws, and assisting the physician with minor procedures. Valid MA Certification/Diploma required.
Must have strong Phlebotomy skills.
Qualifications and Skills:
-2 years of experience in a medical office/clinic setting; experience in Primary Care or GI Office specialty highly preferred
-Must have experience working in a fast paced environment and have a passion for healthcare.
-Experience with EMR systems required
-Must have a valid MA Diploma/Certificate
