Special Education Teacher - Lisbon, OH

ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Lisbon, OH. As a contracted Special Education Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work with students who have a range of disabilities, providing them with the support and instruction they need to thrive academically and socially.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide direct instruction to students in various subjects, adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning styles and needs.
• Collaborate with other members of the educational team, including other teachers, therapists, and support staff, to ensure a comprehensive approach to student success.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction and interventions as necessary to facilitate learning and growth.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and discuss strategies for support at home.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of student performance, IEP goals, and interventions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid Special Education teaching license/certification in the state of Ohio.
• Previous experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
• Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
