Job Description:

A hotel room attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in hotel guest rooms. Their primary role is to ensure that rooms are clean, comfortable, and welcoming for hotel guests.

  1. Cleaning and Maintenance: The room attendant is responsible for cleaning and tidying guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, dusting furniture, vacuuming or sweeping floors, and emptying trash bins. They also clean and sanitize bathrooms, including the toilet, sink, and bathtub/shower, and replenish toiletries and towels as needed.
  2. Restocking Supplies: Room attendants replenish guest room supplies, such as towels, toiletries, drinking glasses, coffee/tea supplies, and stationery items. They ensure that all items are well-stocked and in good condition for guest use.
  3. Reporting and Maintenance Requests: Room attendants report any maintenance or repair issues in the guest rooms to the appropriate department. They may also assist with minor maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs or fixing loose fixtures.
  4. Lost and Found: If a guest leaves personal items behind, the room attendant should promptly report them to the housekeeping supervisor and follow the hotel's lost and found procedures.
  5. Attention to Detail: Room attendants need to pay close attention to detail to ensure that all areas of the room are thoroughly cleaned and maintained. They should also check for any damages or missing items and report them.
  6. Time Management: Efficient time management is essential for room attendants to ensure that they complete their assigned rooms within the given time frame. They need to prioritize tasks and manage their workload effectively.
  7. Customer Service: Room attendants may occasionally interact with guests while cleaning rooms or delivering requested items. They should be polite, friendly, and responsive to guest inquiries or requests, providing exceptional customer service.
