Job Description
We are looking to fill the position of Registered Nurse Clinical Trainer with/at our Community Mental Health Center (CMHC).
In this role, you will:
Be responsible for creating and delivering training to the nursing team, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality knowledge and skills. The Clinical Trainer will also assess instructional effectiveness via regular classroom observations and end-of-class evaluations. The Clinical Trainer will also work with all internal stakeholders to ensure care and services are delivered effectively across the region.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Stay abreast of evidence-based practices for the agency's most commonly treated behavioral health conditions.
- Develop train-the-trainer competence in key evidence-based practices, with recertification as required.
- Plan and implement routine training for all appropriate personnel in the agency.
- Responsible for creating training materials, including but not limited to, user manuals, tip sheets, workflows, recorded training videos, etc.
- Responsible for assessing and developing refresher and/or tutorial support as necessary
- Ensure all required evidence-based practices are completed within 60 days of hire.
- Works with Human Resource team to track expirations and deliver refreshers prior to expiration.
- Facilitates and serves as a change agent for the initiation of, implementation of, and revising of policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Work with leaders to implement and maintain performance culture.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Fully COVID vaccinated.
- Hold and maintain a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in GA
- Graduate from a nationally or state-approved School of Nursing program with a Bachelor's degree or higher
- 3 or more years of experience in behavioral health nursing
- Demonstrated ability to train and coach others in a professional and supportive manner
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
- Acceptable references
- Experience working as an educator and/or coach preferred
