Our cutting-edge technology focuses on automating the loading and unloading of semi trailers, enhancing efficiency, safety, and reliability. Our current clients include the most well-known automotive and e-commerce companies who are using SlipBots to move cargo every day.

The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Atlanta, GA. This role involves working on the productionization of our current autonomous robot, as well as developing innovative hardware features for moving and storing cargo on and above the robot. You will play a pivotal role in the evolution of our products and the scaling of our production capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for our autonomous mobile robots
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with electrical and software systems
  • Innovate and implement additional hardware features for enhanced cargo handling and storage
  • Drive the transition of prototypes into scalable, production-ready models
  • Apply expertise in mobile robotics and industrial automation to improve system performance and reliability
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in robotics and automation.
  • Define and execute test campaigns for electro-mechanical systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design and development, ideally in mobile robotics or industrial automation
  • Demonstrated experience in an agile, fast-paced work environment
  • Proficiency in CAD software, mechanical simulation, and analysis tools
  • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to innovate
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
