Accounts Receivable Clerk I

Summary:

The Accounts Receivable candidate till manage our accounts receivable function, ensuring timely collections, and cash applications. Successfully and accurately record transactions in Get Paid, Navision accounting systems, reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances entries. Recognize and resolve disputes and discrepancies. Reconciliation of overpayments, misapplications, and unapplied cash.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Log all relevant comments/actions for an account into the accounting system on a timely basis
• Responsible for monitoring and maintaining assigned accounts- Customer calls, payment status via customer portals, account adjustments, customer reconciliations
• Make collection calls, record detail responses received, and schedule follow up
• Ensure that reporting is accurate and detailed
• Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts
• Notify sales of any accounts with ongoing issues leading to potential credit hold status
• If necessary, provide documentation to the customer to assist in the explanation of balances to customers
• Match incoming deposit transactions
• Research and correct any cash posting discrepancies
• Knowledge of cash application, High Radius a plus.

Skills/Knowledge

• Must have Microsoft Office, accounting systems, spreadsheet knowledge.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
• Working under SOX compliance controls.
• Must have previous experience with high volume invoicing.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Experience with Get Paid and High Radius is a plus.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience

• 1-3 years of accounting / clerical experience.
