Description:

A successful Inventory Coordinator is responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified and reflect reported inventory. This position will maintain inventory accuracy through proper counting, processing of material reports, and transfers. This position will also assist the Shipping, Production, QC, and Customer Service locate materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cycle count materials based on the “ABC” grouping system on the production floor and warehouse(s).
  • Publish daily cycle count results.
  • Assist in determining root causes of inventory discrepancies and help implement corrective actions to eliminate repetitive errors.
  • Maintain labeling for all physical spaces where the material is stored.
  • Maintain and improve relations with warehouse personnel to optimize the movement of materials throughout the warehouse(s) and production floors. Oversee material movements and report performance.
  • Assist the Procurement department in maintaining and improving all inventory replenishment systems.


Requirements:


To perform this job successfully, an individual must:

  • Experience in Excel and a respective ERP system is required.
  • High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.
  • Physical inventory and cycle counting experience.
  • Ability to formulate solutions and resolve issues promptly.
  • Ability to communicate throughout the organization in written and verbal form.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers and company leaders.
  • Have forklift experience.
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs.
