Job Description

Summary: The Electrical Lead verifies and documents all phases of the electrical installation are performed in accordance with applicable codes and specifications. The candidate will work directly with the MMCL Site Team, QA/QC, engineering and the contractor(s) to ensure the project finishes safely and on schedule.

 

Key duties:

  • Adhere to construction site safety guidelines and promote a safe working environment
  • This position is responsible for performing visual inspections of the electrical installations
  • Communicate job progress and any changes in scope with project manager
  • Read construction documents to determine project details and specifications
  • Complete daily reports, test reports and timesheets  
  • Communicate orally and in writing with engineers, contractors and the project manager on a daily basis
  • Work directly with Engineering, Procurement & Contracts department
  • Ensuring the work is completed on schedule and to code.
  • Plan and supervise the work of electricians.
  • Document and report construction progress by WBS code
  • Determine procedures for maintenance, installation, modification and repair of electrical assignments.
  • Document the as-built installed drawings

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong background in electrical installation of large construction projects.
  • Degree or diploma in an electrical related field plus 3 years of electrical supervisory experience
  • Excellent technical, communication and organizational skills
  • Physically fit to perform the job functions including the ability to stand, squat, bend, lift, and walk for long durations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, etc.)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, construction management, or electrical engineering and some supervisory experience.
  • Master License
