Job Description
Title: Outpatient Therapist
Location: Waldorf, MD
Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000
Requirements:
- One of the following active Maryland licenses is required: ADT, CAC-AD, CSC-AD, LGADC, LCADC, LGPC, LCPC, LMSW, LCSW, LSCW-C
- A high school diploma and the above licensure is required
- Masters degreed preferred but not required
- Prior experience in a substance abuse or behavioral healthcare setting is a preferred
About the role:
The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of experience working as an outpatient therapist in a substance abuse or behavioral healthcare setting. Recent graduates with their Masters in Mental Health Counseling, Education, Social Work, Psychology, or another related human services field are also encouraged to apply.
- Inspire, motivate, and facilitate clients recovery journey using evidence based and individual-centered methods
- Lead group and individual therapy sessions (PHP, IOP, GOP)
- Carry a caseload for individual therapy sessions
- Evaluate mental and physical health, addiction severity, and/or problem behavior
- Assess readiness for treatment and articulates clinical rationale for recommended level of care
- Work with clients to develop realistic and time limited treatment goals
