Machine Operator

Position Title: Machine Operator – 1st + 3rd Shift

Wage: $17.00-$19.20 per hour

Shift: 1st, 2nd

Hours: 12:00am-8:00am (Sun-Thurs); 4:00pm-12:00am (Mon-Fri)

QPS Employment Group has a great Machine Operator position available at a company in Fairfield, IA. This is a 1st and 3rd shift position with the opportunity for hire. 

Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Cutting, trimming, hammering, and welding plastic parts together with equipment including saws, robots, pneumatic tools, and dedicated fixtures.
- Installing components as stated in the work instructions using various equipment.
- Trim excess material off of parts using knife.
- Verify that all required components are installed on part before packaging.
- Inspect the parts for quality and reject all nonconforming parts and place them in designated area.
- Minor adjustments on Blow Molding Equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Machine Operator Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs non repetitively.
- Must be able to lift 10-20lbs repetitively.
- Must be able to work in extreme heat          
- Must be able to stand for an extended period of time.
- Must be able to perform basic mathematics.
- Must be able to read and follow work instructions and directions.
- Must be fluent in English in this position to read policies, procedures and communicate as needed.
