FAA Licensed Drone Pilot - Roofing - Full-time

Northpoint Roofing Systems, a renowned roofing company known for its commitment to excellence, customer satisfaction and ranked 653 on the prestigious Inc. 5000 list along with a 26th position in the competitive construction sector, is looking for a FAA licensed (Part 107) drone pilot to work out of our Birmingham office, Cardinal Roofing.

The ideal candidate is tech savvy and has experience operating a drone while capturing images as directed for detecting roof damage.

Responsibilities

• Travel to residential and commercial properties to conduct roof inspections using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs/Drone)
• Meet and maintain the FAA qualification requirements
• Work closely with sales team to plan and optimize travel routes ahead of time
• Capture aerial footage and images and upload data to database
• Document all activity in database with a high degree of accuracy and correctness
• Develop rapport and build relationships with potential customers
• Monitor weather conditions and airspace restrictions to ensure safe operations
• Attend department meetings, keep current on sales information, products and industry trend
• Source new sales opportunities

• High school diploma or GED
• Current FAA pilot certificate
• At least 4+ years experience as a drone pilot
• Photography skills is a plus
• Understanding of technical terms commonly used in the roofing is a plus
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to walk long distances, climb stairs, stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs. or greater
• Good communication skills
• Customer service oriented
• Team player (member of a sales crew)
• Familiarity with tablets, Apple iPads (iPadOS)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
