General Purpose

Under supervision of the Production Supervisor, load trucks, maintain inventory locations, clean warehouse room, and perform any other activities as directed.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a forklift, including a standing forklift, to load and unload trucks and move inventory from one location to another
  • Will work closely with pack room operator to keep the pack room flowing.
  • Perform routine machine adjustments
  • Accurately maintain inventory records and paperwork
  • Assist with monthly inventory counts, year-end inventory counts, and cycle counts as required
  • Accurately maintain shipping paperwork
  • Assist with powder sampling in accordance with U.S.D.A. guidelines
  • Maintain safe work habits, wear personal protective equipment, obey safety rules, and overall contribute to a safe work environment
  • Attend required training, including but not limited to, GMP's, HAACP, SQF, Safety, etc.
  • Follow all DFA GMP's and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements
  • Firmly adhere to the values and ethics of DFA. Exhibit honesty, discretion, and sound judgment

  • Must be flexible and able to work any day of the week; holiday's and weekend's are a must.

Education and Experience

    • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

                Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Must have good work history.  Training will be provided.
  • Forklift training -- safe operation
