We are looking for an experienced Planner to join our team! The Planner is responsible for providing Production Control, Program Planning and Material Control in support of production planning, as well as day-to-day inventory management to ensure ERP inventory module accurately reflects material movements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Works with Operations functional teams, Engineering, Business Operations, Contracts, Quality Engineering and Export Control to ensure on-time hardware delivery and material control while promoting Quality philosophy.
  • Plans, schedules, and monitors material movement in production cycle to ensure continuous operations to meet due dates.
  • Oversees the execution of assigned programs with a sense of urgency.
  • Supports overall program or product production schedule and critical path analysis.
  • Reviews and provides input for program schedules in MS Project format, updates detailed WIP status and reports regularly to product team.
  • Maintains program deliverables ensuring proper quantities and products are delivered on time according to PO.
  • Ensure timely kitting and fulfillment of manufacturing order material requirements to the manufacturing floor, outside vendor, or Engineering team to support schedules.
  • Leads product or program close-out process; ensures accuracy and physical count of program owned inventory, works with Quality Engineering, Program Office, Shipping and Contracts to disposition the residual assets according to customer direction before the end of the contract.
  • Works with team to proactively identify procurement requirements for all materials and services to support production schedules for assigned programs. Includes indirect purchase requests and capital materials and services as requested. Reports status to product team on a regular basis.
  • Provides up-to-date inventory tracking and data reporting to team for easy inventory retrieval as requested.
  • Maintains accurate records of all transfers and movement of raw materials, WIP, finished goods and equipment for assigned programs.
  • Works with management to oversee cost and helps to implement cost reduction measures.


Qualifications & Competencies

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies:
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes, quality requirements and inventory management in product-based high mix, low volume production environment
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate across departments and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Advanced computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel &Power Point)
  • Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices
  • General knowledge of MES/Software products and implementation; familiarity with Dynafact
  • Familiarity with ITAR regulations
  • Familiarity with MRP systems; Costpoint ERP experience is a plus
  • Supply chain and procurement experience would be a plus
  • APICS Certification a plus


Education and/or Experience:
  • High School Diploma or some college with at least five (5) years of experience in inventory or production control, in ISO9001 or AS9100 qualified high-tech manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working with inventory control database, ERP and/or MES solutions
  • Experience in leading process improvement efforts within Supply Chain function
  • Understanding of ISO9001 or AS9100

Salary Range:
$59,400.00-$79,310.000
