NOV Pressure Control Group is currently recruiting for two Quality Control Receiving Inspector to join our team at 12950 West Little York Road. The main responsibilities of this role include:

JOB SUMMARY:

Perform a wide variety of inspection and quality control operations of a visual, dimensional, and functional nature, making necessary critical observations, tests, or completing appropriate documentation as required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform inspections on components.
  • Perform source inspections at facilities.
  • Prepare inspection reports and maintain files of inspection documents.
  • Review inspection records received for compliance.
  • Maintain inspection and measuring equipment.
  • Prepare and coordinate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR's) for nonconforming parts.
  • Perform other work related tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
  • 2nd Shift: 3pm- 11pm

FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Verify certifications and documents from vendors.
  • Perform visual inspection on parts.
  • Inspect the part for the correct part number and serial number stampings.
  • Write NCR for non-complying parts at receiving.
  • Comply with all departmental rules.
  • Verify certifications and documents from vendors.

  • Review Material Test reports, Heat Treatment ,NDE & Welding documentation.
  • Review Supplier Manufacturing Record Book for compliance.
  • Inspect the part for the correct part number and serial number stampings.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Previous inspection experience preferred.
  • Knowledge in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, material specifications and
  • requirements.
  • Knowledge of ABS and DNV requirements for drilling equipment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of API 8C, 6A, and 16A requirements is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn different software programs.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including overtime, as required.
  • Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
