Hunt Valve, powered by Fairbanks Morse Defense, is seeking an Inspector who can keep up with our fast-paced manufacturing environment. Due to the extreme environments in which Hunt Valve’s products are used, our facility requires a robust Quality Control Department.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspecting individual components using micrometers, calipers, go/no go plug and rings gages, comparators, and operating CMM’s
• Inspection of component parts and complete valves assemblies to customer drawings
• Conduct yourself in a manner that results in collaboration, teamwork, and respect toward all internal and external contacts
• File and maintain inspection documents
• Maintain equipment calibration and measuring & testing equipment
• Constant exposure to a manufacturing setting
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time in order to inspect efficiently
• Must have the dexterity to handle various objects necessary to complete the essential functions
• Adhere to company Malpractice & Ethics Policies

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; post-Secondary education is a plus
• 3-5 years in an inspector role
• High level of blueprint reading required
• Knowledge of Mitutoyo MiCAT CMM and Faro Arm with Polyworks would be helpful
• Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to deal with complexity
• Capable of working in a customer-focused, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude
• Proficient with Shop Math including but not limited to general addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, algebra, and trigonometry
