Surface Preparation Technician – 2nd Shift

As the Surface Prep Technician – 2nd Shift for Rolls-Royce, you will be responsible for performing various manufacturing processes in one or more areas, including: grinding, gaging and buffing propulsion blades, preparing blades for final inspection, multiple levels of packaging for blades including preparing the packaging and crating.

Key Accountabilities:

• Perform manufacturing processes such as cleaning propulsion hubs and internal components ready for inspection
• Perform packaging of completed assemblies and prepare equipment and/or tooling for Assemblers
• Ensure full utilization of all equipment whilst following health, safety and environmental procedures and regulations
• Show demonstrable team working skills for achieving targets and assisting with continuous improvement projects
• Show ability to lift engine components weighing up to approximately 50 pounds
• Have no allergic reaction to chemicals or materials used in performing related tasks

Basic Requirements:

• High School Diploma with 3+ years prior experience in a lean/precision manufacturing environment
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products
• In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires USA Citizenship

Preferred Requirements:

• Prior experience working with precision measuring tools, including Micrometres, Indicators etc.
