Major Duties:

Perform various maintenance job functions to further develop knowledge, skills, and abilities in preparation for future CNC Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician positions. The Maintenance Trainees will develop skills in maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, and calibrating mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic control systems for CNC machine tools, manufacturing processes, and test equipment.

The Maintenance Trainee will be responsible for performing job functions as assigned by the Plant Maintenance Leader and mentors within the maintenance organization. The Maintenance Trainee will work directly with and take work directions from persons proficient in the skills needed for technical development.

Experience/ Educational Qualifications:

Associate degree in Mechatronics (or comparable degree) or 3 years of verifiable experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electronic, electrical, and mechanical equipment.

Those that are interested in the Maintenance Trainee position should have appropriate knowledge, education, and/or experience for this position. All candidates should possess a strong understanding and demonstrate proficiency with CNC machine tool theory, diagnostics, and repair. Must be able to push, pull or lift parts up to 50 lbs. utilizing proper ergonomic procedures.

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
  • Prior Aircraft Engines machining experience
  • Must be able to use computers and learn Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively in the English language.
  • Experience working in a high-performing team-based environment.
