Alsum Farms & Produce Inc., a grower, packer, and shipper of potatoes & onions with headquarters located in Friesland, WI is looking for a full-time Merchandiser Supervisor! You would be responsible for overseeing the Illinois-based Merchandisers including hiring, training, supporting, and ensuring high levels of productivity. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong sales aptitude, and a willingness to travel across Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin.

A Day in the Life of an Alsum Farms & Produce Merchandiser Supervisor

As a Merchandiser Supervisor, your days will be dynamic and filled with diverse responsibilities. You will lead by example, ensuring that each merchandising task is completed efficiently and up to our highest standards. Your duties will include hiring and training new team members, maintaining compliance with safety standards, preparing stores for events and meetings, and providing exceptional customer service. You'll collaborate closely with store personnel, fostering a cooperative atmosphere that aligns with our merchandising programs. Your keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills will be essential as you oversee inventory and maintain meticulous records. Job Details

Job Type: Regular Full-Time

Job Schedule: Monday through Friday with some Saturdays; Approximately 6:00am to 3:00pm (or when work is completed)

Salary: $52,000 - $55,000 per year

Work Location: Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin Woodman's Food Markets

Travel Requirements: 25-50% - you will oversee Merchandiser in all Illinois and some Wisconsin Woodman's Food Markets and will be required to travel to all of them on a rotating basis (Lakemoor, Aurora, Carpentersville, Buffalo Grove, Bloomingdale, Rockford, Janesville, Beloit, Kenosha, and Oak Creek)

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in business or related field desirable but not required
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience with at least one year of supervisory experience
• Strong, proven leadership and communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Thorough understanding of merchandising policies and procedures
• Ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory
• Self-motivated and able to function as part of a team
• Proficiency in utilizing Human Resource Information System (HRIS) software
• Valid state motor vehicle license with acceptable motor vehicle record

Physical/Environmental Demands:

• Ability to move product with a pallet jack or forklift
• Good manual dexterity
• Exposure to airborne particles or fumes
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times
