POSITION TITLE: OSP Inspector
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW:

ADB is seeking an OSP Inspector to join our team. This position will report to our OSP Project Manager to coordinate and oversees OSP activities. This candidate has full knowledge of underground fiber install operations. ADB is known in the industry for our world class culture, work stability, career development opportunities, and best in class vehicles and equipment. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure adherence to construction maps
  • Safety rules and practices from all governing authorities are monitored closely and enforced
  • Understand and implement local construction methods and procedures as required
  • Review permits and Right-Of-Way (ROW) considerations and requirements
  • Witness and monitor work activities, inspections, and testing in accordance with approved quality plans, site surveillance plans, procedures, and processes
  • Ensure compliance with customer and Industry Specifications while OSP is being constructed
  • Complete "As-Built" forms for delivery
  • Perform quality inspections on work currently performed or work that has been recently completed, utilizing established checklists and/or other quality related documents
  • Maintain records and prepare inspection reports
  • Other related duties as assigned
  • May be required to work nights if work restrictions dictate work to be completed at night
  • Must be able to document work being completed in the field
  • Provide daily updates to Project Manager on overall safety, quality, and production
  • Perform Traffic management of all construction activities
  • Performs other duties as assigned by leadership

  • History of adhering to safety procedures and practices
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including climbing, sitting, standing, walking, and driving
  • Regular exposure to all weather conditions, especially hot, humid and/or rainy spring, summer and fall weather, combined with regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
  • Assume responsibility for work outcomes and results of other workers.
  • May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated
  • When working on site, will be required to wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and life jackets

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • 3+ years of underground utilities knowledge required
  • 3+ years of Fiber and Outside Plant knowledge required
  • Valid US Driver's License, clean driving record. (Class A CDL is preferred)
  • High School diploma or equivalent required

This position pays a salary of up to $70,000.00, based on experience.
