Accountant - Full-time

Experis is seeking an Accountant for one of our clients in the northern Milwaukee area who will be responsible for preparing financial statement reconciliations and supporting documentation with a focus on GAAP compliance and operational efficiencies. This is a FT, direct hire opportunity with a very competitive salary and benefits.

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Northern Milwaukee

Pay Range: Commensurate with experience plus comprehensive benefits.

What’s the Job?

• Timely and accurate posting, balancing, and reconciliation of the general ledger for each business entity
• Prepares work papers, financial statements, and various reports for internal accounting and auditing
• Works with independent auditors to ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements
• Researches current financial results compared to prior year, prior month and budgeted amounts
• Performs internal audits
• Assists business partners with budget activity, proper expenditure coding, document preparation, and other accounting-related activities
• Performs duties related to month-end close

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of related experience
• Strong US GAAP knowledge
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
• Cost accounting experience
