Staff Accountant

TITLE: Staff Accountant

DUTIES: Responsible for performing the day-to-day processing and maintaining of the accounts payable function and general accounting including month-end close.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform various accounting duties throughout the month, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, in areas that are generally more complex in nature and requires a more advanced understanding and application of accounting principles and financial analysis.
• Provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports.
• Help evaluate, recommend, implement, and document new financial accounting policies, procedures, financial systems, and controls.
• Responsible for all aspects of the accounts payable processes, including verifying the accuracy of vendor invoices, confirming correct GL coding, and obtaining proper approval and processing payment.
• Customer payment application.
• Bank account reconciliation.
• Assist with annual audit and other ad-hoc projects.
• Provide support to finance management and internal customers as needs arise, including ad-hoc projects.
• Process payroll.
• Global consolidation.
• Manage subsidiaries' financial operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting with 8+ years of AP and general accounting experience. CPA a plus.
• Strong accounting/analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing priorities.
• Self-motivated.
• Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft office solutions.
• Strong communication skills.
• Comfortable prioritizing multiple work streams across daily responsibilities and long-term projects.
• Must be team oriented; enjoys working with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
• Experience with Sage Intacct, Bill.com a plus.

Expected Salary Range: $ 100,000 - 125,000 annual
