IU Health Arnett Physicians has a full time employment opportunity for an Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner to join their established clinic located in Lafayette, Indiana. Oncology experience is preferred however candidates with solid general clinical skills and a strong desire to learn will also be considered. 

The ideal candidate would have oncology experience with 2-3 years in healthcare.  The candidate would enjoy working with oncology patients.  The candidate would be thoughtful, collaborative and flexible.  

Employment opportunity Details:

  • Full-Time (36 patient facing hours per week expectation) 
  • Days (Mon-Fri) with no call responsibilities
  • Very rarely will there be a need to see a patient in the hospital. 
  • Main focus will be Radiation Oncology however will collaborate and spend time working in Medical Oncology and Palliative Medicine
  • Practice with two established Radiation Oncologists 
  • High Standards to provide excellent care
  • Department has excellent patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides evaluation and management of follow up patients receiving Radiation Oncology care
  • Provides access for patients with urgent medical issues while on Radiation treatment
  • Collaborate and cover needs in Medical Oncology and Palliative Care all within Indiana University Health Arnett Cancer Center
  • Participate in patient, staff, and professional education programs

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Requires current valid Indiana State RN license or requires current registration with the Medical Licensing Board of Indiana and current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
  • Requires the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the multidisciplinary team
