We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Estimator to join our thriving Construction team. This opportunity offers you the chance to lead and manage in a fast-paced environment, overseeing the preparation of cost estimates and budgets for construction projects. If you are an estimator with a strong background in commercial and general construction, we invite you to apply. This role is pivotal in our organization, requiring a proactive individual who can handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in our construction projects from conception to completion. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and services.
2. Evaluating and analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
3. Managing pre-construction services and activities, including design review, constructability analysis, and value engineering.
4. Participating in project bidding and contractor selection processes, ensuring competitive pricing and quality.
5. Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best prices and contracts.
6. Collaborating with project management teams to monitor project costs and progress.
7. Providing cost advice and guidance to project stakeholders, including recommendations for cost-saving strategies.
8. Keeping abreast of industry trends and advancements in construction methods, materials, and technology.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Estimator role should have a strong background in construction estimating and management, with a keen eye for detail and excellent analytical skills. The following qualifications are required:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating, commercial construction, general construction, construction management, design/build, cost estimation, project estimation, project bidding, and negotiation.
2. A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
3. Proven experience in managing and preparing construction project estimates and budgets.
4. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, systems, and market trends.
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
6. Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to secure favorable terms and prices.
7. Proficient in estimating software and other relevant computer applications.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
9. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
10. A professional certification in estimating or a related field would be an advantage.
