SUMMARY
As the overseer of the accounting and budgeting department, your role is pivotal in providing crucial financial insights to guide informed decisions regarding the Company's future.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise the Company's Accounting Department, ensuring timely and accurate financial reports dissemination, including internal/external statements, audits, and annual budget proposals.
- Act as the primary liaison with DCAA, handling matters related to disclosure statements, systems reviews, and pricing rate proposals.
- Ensure seamless integration of all accounting functions, including financial statement production, billing, payables, payroll, and compliance.
- Manage the Disbursement Department, overseeing accounts payable, purchase orders, payroll processing, and tax compliance.
- Direct Accounts Receivable activities, managing aging components, billings, cash receipts, and funding services.
- Ensure company's income tax compliance, optimizing favorable tax positions.
- Establish and maintain robust systems and controls to uphold data integrity and enhance company value.
- Provide timely support to the CFO and contribute to special projects and reports.
- Maintain professional communication with stakeholders and adhere to regulations and policies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the hiring, training, and performance appraisal of department employees.
- Direct work assignments, resolve issues, and foster a positive work environment.

Job Details
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Proficient in general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, income tax, and banking operations.
- Experience in government contracting, familiarity with FAR, CAS, and DFAR; Aerospace & Defense industry experience preferred.
- Strong project control background desirable; SEC/contractual negotiation skills advantageous.
- Exceptional managerial skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and related software.
- Familiarity with JD Edwards or similar ERP systems preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Adherence to regulations, policies, and deadlines.
- Regular attendance at the workplace.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with 10-12 years of accounting managerial experience; or equivalent.
- Prior experience with a "Big 4" accounting firm is preferred.
