Job Summary:

The Scheduling Coordinator will play a critical role in scheduling and dispatching trucks to construction projects for conveyance of materials. Duties include using the XBE construction platform, telephone, and computer to transmit assignments as well as reconciling time for proper payment to truckersAdditional duties include compiling statistical data and reports on work progress, long range scheduling for the business unit, and external sales customer scheduling to optimize plant efficiency.

Essential Functions:

1. Safety always wins. Prioritize safety above all else when scheduling and assigning people, trucks and equipment to appropriate locations, optimize delivery routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness while maintaining a strong commitment to safety.
2. Respect and engage. Serve as the primary point of contact between customers, drivers, and internal/external stakeholders, upholding the value of integrity in all communications. Communicate changes, and updates promptly and professionally to ensure positive customer experience.
3. Ownership and caring. Provide exceptional customer service experiences and interactions with subcontractors, internal teams, and outside customers even in challenging or stressful situations.
4. Focused. Able to accept multiple inputs of information related to orders and deliveries and problem solve quickly, efficiently and in compliance with industry regulations. Identify bottlenecks, adjust scheduling or dispatching requirements, ensuring a smooth and effective workflow.
5. Dedication. Ensure that trucking deliveries meet quality standards and specifications, with a strong focus on safety in the production process. Conduct regular checks to verify the quality of scheduled deliveries, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
6. Protect family and friends. Promote and enforce safety protocols across all scheduling and dispatching activities, fostering a culture that prioritizes the well-being of all team members and stakeholders.
7. Communicate. Provide regular and transparent updates to management regarding operational efficiency, safety measures, and customer satisfaction. Maintain open lines of communication with all relevant parties, ensuring clarity in all aspects of scheduling and dispatching.
8. Compulsive tinkering. Continually improve procedures and processes to maximize efficiency and take advantage of technology. Encourage an inclusive and supportive work environment that promotes effective collaboration for successful project outcomes.



Requirements, Education and Experience:

1. 3-5 years construction experience preferred.

2. Knowledge of construction operations and specifications.

3. Analytical and problem-solving skills.

4. Proficient verbal and written English

5. Proficient computer skills.

6. Excellent organizational, time management, and decision-making skills.

7. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Travel:

Position may require up to 5% travel by personal vehicle to offices in Western Mass and Conn based on the needs of the business.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

This job operates in an office and professional environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers. On occasion the job will require going out in the field and various organizations and schools/institutions. This is mostly sedentary outside of travel in an office space. This would require the ability to sit at a desk, frequent walking, bending, or standing as necessary.
