**Shipping and Receiving Manager and Donation Truck Driver**

Cullman, AL The primary responsibilities of the Shipping and Receiving Manager/ Donation Truck Driver at The Foundry Thrift Store in Cullman are to:

* Oversee the receipt of donations and shipments to and from the warehouse.

* Provide supervisory support as requested by the General Manager.

* Work cooperatively with all team members and program participants to assist in implementing the overall enterprise plan.

* Be a team member who promotes and participates in a collegial atmosphere within the Enterprises Department and collaborates with all Enterprises team members to attain the overall departmental goal.

* Operate a donation truck to pick up donations and deliver to an Enterprises location.

**Shipping and Receiving Manager:**

* Price donated furniture including antiques, collectibles, repaired major appliances, and small engine items

* Supervise staff and program participants assigned to the warehouse

* Oversee donation trailers and collection areas, including the daily cleaning of the outside of the store building

* Facilitate and supervise the daily loading and unloading of trucks and donation stations from initial set-up to clean-up

* Inspect donations to determine what should be priced, what should be recycled, what should be stored, and what should be discarded

* Facilitate the storage and loading of baled clothing, scrap metals, paper, and other recyclable materials

* Responsible for weekly inventory for all donated goods in ministry storage, in and out of the thrift store facilities

* Communicate with General Manager to determine when loads of clothing, scrap metals, bric-a-brac, and paper are or will be available for shipment

* Interact with vendors shippers for all containers to be dropped off with pick up times and obtain the location of said shipment deliveries

* Complete and submit bills of lading to General Manager for invoicing

* Responsible for opening, closing, and securing all gates and doors as requested

**Donation Truck Driver** :

* Primary operator of donation truck to efficiently pick up donations from residences or businesses

* Functional knowledge of vehicle maintenance

* Strategically review assigned routes before departure and organize schedules to maximize pick-ups.

* Maintain constant communication with Dispatch during route

* Functional knowledge of electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets, and computers

* Observe all safety rules provided by The Foundry Ministries, Inc., the Alabama Department of Public Safety, and OSHA

**Customer Relations** :

* Serve as an ambassador of The Foundry Ministries, Inc. and deliver exemplary customer service to donors

**Employment Readiness Program Participants:**

* Treat each program participant assigned as a rider and to the warehouse with dignity and professionalism

* Communicate issues and concerns regarding program participants to management

* Maintain program participant confidentiality at all times

* Supervision includes training, encouraging, and collaborating with Program Director on G.R.O.W. action plans

* Train and supervise program participants assigned to the warehouse in the handling of merchandise for storage, sales, recycling, and/or discarding

**Education:**

* High School Diploma, GED, or approved equivalent experience

**Experience:**

* Minimum of one (1) years experience driving large trucks, including basic vehicle inspections and maintenance

* Minimum of one (1) years warehouse experience

**Requirements** :

* The Foundrys insurance carrier approve valid state-issued drivers license, clean driving record, and must

* Knowledge of safe lifting/carrying guidelines and other basic safety guidelines

* Must be able to bend, lift, carry, load, and unload heavy objects; enter and exit vehicle frequently during route; drive long distances

* Organizational and time management skills

* Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, email, and GPS programs

* Proficient in basic math to calculate and verify delivery schedules, weights, and measures

* Strong interpersonal skills

* Proven ability to resolve issues in a calm and efficient manner

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Servant leader

* Quick learner and enjoys the challenge of taking on new assignments

* Willingness to be a team player
