Warehouse Manager

EXCELTA, a family-owned distributor and manufacturer of tweezers, pliers, cutters, and other small assembly hand tools based in Buellton, is looking for a Warehouse Manager.

Duties include:

•Lead the Warehouse staff (receiving, inventory and shipping): hire, train, develop, motivate, coach and inspire each individually for a high performing team.

•Monitor and manage inventory: ensure tracking and recording of inventory is timely and accurate, Coordinate and perform cycle counts on a daily basis reports and make necessary inventory adjustments.

•Maintain great relationships with internal and external customers, representing the company in a professional and positive manner.

•Utilize computer software (ERP system, Microsoft Suite) to review information, generate reports, analyze data, report on department metrics and work in the most efficient manner.

•Ensure the warehouse is organized, clean and safe, ensuring an OSHA compliant work environment at all times.

•Drive continuous improvement initiatives and integrate best practices in handling warehouse materials.

•Oversee daily operations in the warehouse, including management of Warehouse personnel and delegation of tasks.

•Create GTIN (Barcode numbers) and assign Cycle Count numbers and box types for new products.

Skills, Experience, Education:

• • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school required; or four to five years experience in warehousing environment within manufacturing company; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree in related field strongly preferred.
  • Experience in and knowledge of warehousing, shipping, receiving and logistics best practices and creating, measuring and communicating KPIs.
  • Familiar with quality standards and implementation.
  • Understanding of safety protocols and requirements.

Position Details :

This is a full-time non-exempt position that is required to be onsite full-time. Typical schedule Monday - Friday day shift. Salary Range $30-45/hour. Benefits include paid vacation, paid holidays, medical, dental, vision and retirement plans.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
• The employee is constantly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands and arms to handle and reach.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
