We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This is a permanent position within our manufacturing company, offering an excellent opportunity to utilize and develop your accounting skills in a fast-paced, challenging environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general ledger, reporting, and oversight of general accounting, with a CPA certification being a significant plus.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Accountant, your main responsibilities will include:

1. Managing the month-end closing process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
2. Overseeing the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
3. Developing and maintaining comprehensive financial reports for senior management, highlighting key trends and potential issues.
4. Providing oversight of general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
5. Assisting with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
6. Collaborating with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
7. Participating in special projects and ad-hoc financial analyses as required.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA certification is a significant plus.
2. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficiency in month-end close, general ledger, and financial reporting.
4. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial personnel.
7. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
