Special Education Teacher

We are currently seeking a motivated School Counselor to join our team in Farmville, VA. As a member of our counseling department, you will have the opportunity to work with middle school students, providing guidance and support to help them navigate academic, social, and personal challenges. This is a full-time position offering a consistent schedule and the chance to positively impact the lives of students every day.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to middle school students to address academic, social, and emotional concerns.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement intervention plans as needed.
• Conduct assessments and screenings to identify students in need of additional support.
• Facilitate workshops and programs on topics such as study skills, conflict resolution, and goal setting.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of counseling sessions and student progress.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in School Counseling or related field
• Virginia state licensure or eligibility
• Previous experience working with middle school students preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
