Engineering Intern - Survey

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Perform routine aspects of surveying requiring knowledge and application of basic surveying principles under close supervision on water resources/roadway/highway/bridge/traffic design projects as the primary focus.
• Use computer-assisted engineering software and equipment to perform surveying tasks.
  Collect and prepare data for evaluation.
• Assist in the coordination of projects.
• Provide support to Engineering and Surveying staff members as needed.
• Out of town travel during the work week may be needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Candidate must be currently enrolled in a Surveying program.
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel is required.
• Previous experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation is preferred.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management.
• Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
