Overview:

The Director of Commercial Planning and Forecasting will support the enterprise (commercial and internal) forecasting needs for both organic and ad-hoc commercial development and business development opportunities to support commercial growth. In this role, the candidate will report to the VP of Commercial Strategy and Planning and will partner very closely with partners across the company, namely, the Project Management Office, Product, Business Development, Business Unit leaders, Sales Operations, Data and Analytics, Finance, Payer and Billing. The ideal candidate will help leaders pressure test business assumptions, build business cases for new programs and breakthrough products, and model future growth scenarios. The focus of this role will be to help shape the decision making for the executives in the company and to inform the future roadmap for the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the financial modeling efforts for key commercial programs to help teams understand the implications to our different functions
  • Develop a unified methodology of inputs to be accounted for different strategic initiatives, using the appropriate inputs using information from primary and secondary market research and historical company information
  • Perform ad hoc analysis as needed to support rapid decision making around a number of initiatives in-flight, including operating model shifts, significant changes in our channel strategies and volume growth objectives, and trade-offs between strategic and more tactical objectives.
  • Help define inputs needed from primary market research and other information sources to improve the robustness of the financial models being created
  • Lead conversations with cross-functional leaders to help inform the models with a strong grasp of the different business models in play across the business units and helping to drive a systematic view of our business that is clear and direct
  • Manage direct reports responsible for curating program related expenses across the enterprise

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business management,
  • Preferred: strong understanding of Oncology, Mental Health and Women's health categories
  • Preferred: Previous experience in strategy and/or business forecasting and planning
  • Previous experience in management consulting strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven track record of success in commercial leadership roles
  • Expertise in pharma, med device, hospital marketing and sales strategies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data-driven insights to make informed decisions and lead change in the organization.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and influence teams at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and lead transformational initiatives within healthcare organizations
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive business results
  • A forward-thinking, learning mindset, staying up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in commercial excellence
