Description

The Security Assistant Manager is responsible to assist the Bank Security Manager to ensure Northwest is compliant with all aspects of the BPA as it relates to physical security and collaborate with the Bank Security Manager to identify, develop, and implement security projects that protect Northwest's employees, customers, and assets.

Essential Functions
* Ensure compliance with disaster recovery plans, physical security regulations, and total document/data integrity
* Manage personal workload / workflow
* Create, develop, and analyze reports
* Cultivate relationships with other departments
* Maintain the Bank Security Discover Page
* Conduct staff meetings and supervise staff
* Supervise security front desk and security center employees
* Develop and maintain procedures for front desk and security center positions, and recommend new security measures/systems
* Aligning all activities with Northwest's strategic goals and objectives
* Coordinate security projects and assignments
* Manage security equipment database and licensing
* Plan and implement evacuation routes and drills
* Manage approved security projects
* Assist with Security Technician roles as required, and Operations Manual updates
* Back up all other department functions as directed
* Assist with maintaining and recommending updates to all policy and procedure manuals, and with vendor management
* Increase awareness of security in Northwest
* Recommend and assist with service and delivery enhancements
* Oversee security equipment inventory program
* Accept and perform other security department functions and responsibilities as assigned
* Analyze security systems for improvements
* Develop/improve cost savings methods
* Recommend service and delivery enhancements, and projects for Northwest's security budget
* Develop and monitor budgets and provide reports
* Minimize departmental non-payroll costs
* Manage work hours and FTE's to control costs
* Report on KPI's
* Develop/perform online maintenance, and implement forms and effective controls
* Maximize technology tools available
* Identify and resolve compliance issues
* Communicate guidance within business unit staff and management
* Assist with identifying risks and implementing controls to minimize risk, and with managing physical and verbal threats
* Supervise reviews and monitor programs for compliance
* Perform training for Operations Officers
* Provide appropriate training materials
* Maximize interaction with other security organizations
* Partner with law enforcement agencies and perform required legal action
* Ensure compliance with Northwest's policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations
* Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency
* Work as part of a team
* Work with on-site equipment
* Complete special projects as assigned

Safety and Health for Supervisors with Direct Reports
* Provide leadership and positive direction for maintaining the safety and loss prevention program
* Actively participate in and support employee participation in the safety and loss prevention program by ensuring that employees know how to properly report a safety issue, making sure that all accidents are promptly reported to Human Resources and documented, and ensuring that prompt action is taken whenever workplace hazards are identified
* Help implement emergency procedures

Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent specialized training preferred

Work Experience

Experience in creating reports, implementing policies, and presenting information
