Are you looking to join a dynamic healthcare team that values patient care and efficiency? We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Billing/AR Specialist to join our growing practice. As an AR Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing and reimbursement processes for our healthcare services.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze & investigate denied and/or underpaid claims.
  • Obtains reimbursement from responsible parties for agency services by direct contact as needed to facilitate reimbursement.
  • Must be able to identify and communicate payer and/or system trends to Management.
  • Knowledge of payer contract, regulations and guidelines, as well as State and Federal laws relating to billing and collection procedures to ensure accurate and compliant billing processes.
  • Verify patient insurance information and coverage eligibility.
  • Review and resolve any billing discrepancies or denials, working closely with insurance companies and patients.
  • Participates in the collection and documentation of claims processing rules.
  • •Generates both electronic and hard copy claims for submission.
  • Obtains supporting documentation and other information required to insure acceptance of claim.
  • Interacts and communicates effectively with interdepartmental units when necessary.
  • Documents pertinent account information pertaining to claims submission and resolution.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience within hospital Billing/Accounts Receivable or related 
  • 2 years’ experience in a related position (Medical billing, insurance follow up, denials, medical claims, revenue cycle, etc.)  
  • Strong understanding of insurance claims processing and reimbursement required. 
  • Proficient in medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Knowledge of payer contract, regulations, and guidelines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical billing and coding preferred. 

Details:

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00am - 3:30pm
  • Pay: $20 - $22/hr. 
  • Pay Cycle – Weekly | Medical, Dental & Vision Benefits offered
  • This position requires employees to work onsite 5 days per week. 
  • **Applicants must be vaccinated for CV-19 to qualify for this position.
