We envision being an essential member of a community network that helps prevent behavioral health disorders and provides the care and support people need to lead healthy, productive lives. Our mission is to improve the lives of children, adults, and families impacted by mental health and substance use disorders. The Rehabilitation Specialist is an integral position of Arundel Lodge that creates the culture and quality of life that is experienced by the members of Arundel Lodge.

• Requires HS/GED, prefer Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited college or university in a human services field, one-year experience working in the mental health/psychosocial rehabilitation field, or acceptable combination of education and experience.

• Driver's license with acceptable driving record required.

• Arundel Lodge, Inc offers great benefit packages (health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, sick and paid time off leave) with many opportunities to grow within the ALI family.

Shifts available: 6-2p-2-10p-10p-6a (overnight awake). Overtime is available if interested. One weekend a month overtime is mandatory.

The day-to day job responsibilities of a Rehabilitation Specialist include tasks like prompting residents to start their day, medication monitoring, transportation, assisting with ADL's, making appointments, assisting with cleaning, cooking, and overall caregiving, BUT the most critical thing that a Rehabilitation Specialist does at Arundel Lodge is to assist people in their journey of recovery from mental illness, physical illness, and substance use.

Rehabilitation Specialists are expected to practice the Recovery Model in all interactions with members. The Recovery Model emphasizes hope, autonomy, peer support, respect, empathy, non-stigmatizing language, empowerment, using members' strengths, and self-determination.
