Position Overview:

To contribute to customer satisfaction by efficiently setting up and breaking down banquets on a timely basis.

Essential Functions:

  • Sets up function rooms according to event orders and/or directions from supervisor.
  • Maintains general upkeep of function rooms and related public areas.
  • Ensures that floors, walls, and equipment are clean in function rooms.
  • Stores all banquet furniture and equipment following the banquet.
  • Maintains all banquet department equipment, storage, and work areas.
  • Provides a safe environment for customers by recognizing and correcting any possible hazards.
  • Cleans banquet room during and after banquet function.
  • Adheres to hotel policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Other:

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.  In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meeting is required.

Upon employment, all employees are required to full comply with Regency Hotel Management rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the hotel’s facilities.  Employees who violate hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Qualifications:

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills and abilities.

Education:       High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Experience:     Prior Food and Beverage experience preferred.

  • Ability to understand basic English in order communicate with customers and other employees.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and follow direction.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, climb, bend, crouch/stoop, twist and reach for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. intermittently during workday.
