About Us

Jim Winter Auto Group has been a family business serving the Jackson Community since 1970.  We have competitive Compensation & Benefits and a team mentality that’s second to none.  Our Shop Foreman and Leadership Team will make sure you’re staying busy and learning to grow your income and career.  Hours are 40 hours most weeks with occasional Saturday shifts planned months in advance.  Overtime available as desired.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and Repair vehicles using diagnostic tools and special equipment
• Inspect each vehicle for unknown needs and safety concerns
• Test-drive vehicles to verify concerns and final repair quality
• Communicate verbally and in writing to document diagnoses and repair procedures
• Communicate with shop foreman to maximize your efficient workday

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certifications preferred
• Technical Reading & Analytical skills
• Ability to learn and operate computer diagnostic equipment
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
• Ability to collaborate with others effectively
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
