Job Description

The purpose of this position would be to assist with the wiring of the EvapCold units, as well be responsible for the electrical testing and troubleshooting. This position may also be needed to work in other areas of the plant to assist with other electrical/maintenance activities.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Maintains positive, cheerful, and professional behavior on a daily basis.
  • Meet the productivity/efficiency, quality, safety, and housekeeping/5S goals set by the department supervisor
  • Insure units are wired correctly
  • Insure the units are electrically tested and all instruments and devices are in complete working order prior to shipment.
  • Assist the team in problem solving.
  • May perform other duties as assigned, including hands-on direct labor when necessary

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum two years of electrical experience with controls/electronics with technical degree preferred
  • Reading and understanding engineering drawings and BOM’s
  • Reading and understanding electrical one-line diagrams, wiring schematics, control schematics, instrument loop diagrams, and P&ID’s
  • Use and understanding of various electrical meters including, volt meter, amp probe, ohm meter, 4-20 mA.
  • Understand basic I/O functions
  • Familiar with Lockout/Tagout rules
  • Can recognize and solve problems
  • Accountable for the quality of the electrical portion of the unit
  • Word, Excel knowledge and ability to learn all EVAPCO software-based programs

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Industrial setting (i.e. factory, outdoor)
  • Temperature Extremes, in general, from 20°ree; F. to 110°ree; F.
  • Requires very good agility (i.e. bending, standing, walking, climbing, reaching, squatting, twisting, and lifting)
  • Working at high elevations (i.e. tops of tall buildings or platforms)
  • Normal work week Monday through Friday, Saturday work likely, some Sunday work
